What a great place.
So many beers to choose from, friendly staff, free wifi and a good atmosphere (with gently playing 80s music in the background).
Didn't eat, but wish I did cos the food others were eating looked good (bar food, mostly) -

Surprisingly good beer selection for a tavern that looks rather ordinary from the outside

(In the vein of Stefon from SNL's Weekend Update) If you're in need of a beer house full of beer made by other actual brewers and employing rude, feckless staff, then look no further. Paris' most lackluster beer house is Hall's Beer Tavern. Located in Le Marais, this should-have-been-forgotten tavern's waiters will treat you as if you forgot to wear pink on Wednesday--"You can't sit with us!" When you walk in, hope you've found a not-too-sticky seat where you won't be ignored. (For guaranteed success, try situating your chair in the middle of the doorway.) Dine on acceptable pub food served not only without a smile, but also without eye contact, and dropped on your table as if in an attempt to convince you the plate might actually be hot. (Hint: It isn't.) So, if you happen to be standing in front of Halls' Beer Tavern, desperately need a beer, and literally can't take another step--or if you just like wasting time watching everyone but you be served--I think you've just found your place!
